LED bathtub lights can perfectly enhance the bathroom ambiance, and their service life and safety performance largely depend on standardized installation and daily maintenance. Many users face problems such as light failure, water ingress, and poor adhesion due to irregular installation. Mastering professional installation steps and maintenance skills can maximize the service life of LED bathtub lights and ensure long-term stable operation.

Before installation, prepare the site and check product accessories thoroughly. First, clean the bathtub installation position to remove water stains, dust, and oil stains, ensuring the surface is dry and smooth, which guarantees the firmness of adhesive installation. Check whether the light strip, controller, power adapter, and connecting wires are intact, and confirm that the waterproof grade of the product matches the underwater or wet area usage scenario. It is recommended to reserve a hidden installation position for the power supply and controller to avoid long-term exposure to humid air.

During installation, follow standardized waterproof and fixing procedures. For self-adhesive LED bathtub light strips, tear off the back adhesive and paste them evenly on the bathtub inner wall or bottom, then press firmly for 3 to 5 minutes to ensure close fitting. For cut light strips, wrap the welding joints with at least 5 layers of waterproof tape and seal the gaps with neutral silicone sealant to form an elastic waterproof layer and prevent water penetration. Avoid excessive stretching of the light strip during installation to prevent damage to internal lamp beads and circuits.

Daily maintenance is simple and efficient. Usually, wipe the light surface with a soft dry cloth to keep it clean, and avoid using corrosive detergents to prevent damaging the waterproof shell and light transmittance. Regularly check the connection parts of wires and controllers to ensure no looseness or water accumulation. When not in use for a long time, cut off the power supply to avoid idle power consumption and circuit aging. Correct installation and maintenance can make LED bathtub lights maintain bright and stable lighting effect for years, bringing lasting romantic and comfortable bathing experience.
